Adhere the patterned paper to the front of your card,I actually stitched mine on,then choose the size Nestie you want to use to cut out the centre. I always use a square card because it fits perfectly through the Cuttlebug, you can use any size card but you will need an A4 diecut machine for anything larger. Open the card out flat and place the Nestie where you want the cut out to be.
Should look like this.
Next step is making the scalloped frame, using a co-ordinating paper, place the Nestie you've just used down then using next size up scallop Nestie, place that down leaving an even edge.
Attach the frame around the circle.
Cut a piece of card 4" wide by the length of the bottom of your card, next score down the card at 1",2" and 3".
Fold the score lines so it looks like this.
Attach double sided tape to both sides.
Next attach the one side of the zig zag to the inside of the card, then adhere patterned paper to cover the whole space and covering the join. There is patterned paper inside my card but just very subtle, lol.
Then attach the front of the card to the other side of the zig zag. Your card should now look like this. You are now ready to decorate the front.
Here's my card,I put a greeting inside the circle using Waltzing Mouse Vintage Label 4 with a Stampin'Up 'Happy Birthday' then cut out with Nestie Label 4. I added some seam binding and a Prima flower with a couple of heart pins, papers are Cosmo Cricket,Prima and Basic Grey. Obviously you can't open this card so you have to write on the back,if you want to stamp a sentiment on the back I would do it before you start the card because you won't have a flat surface once you start decorating it.
You can use any shape Nestie, here's one using the heart Nestie with a Magnolia stamp and Melissa Frances papers.
Have a great weekend.
