It's been two weeks since my last Tuesday's Tallies post, I didn't get much done and it didn't look any different from the previous week. If I'm honest,I'm not in love with the AF hexagons or maybe it's the colours but I'm struggling to pick it up. I have done 44 though and I will finish it eventually but maybe not one a day.
I have gone back to the Springtime Throw though from the Cute & Easy Crochet book which I started in the summer.
I'm enjoying crocheting this more and the squares are only little so it doesn't take very long to do one, it probably takes just over an hour to make 6 squares and sew in the ends, so this will be my new One-A-Day. I've now got 120 squares just another 300 odd to go. Now I've got a few made, I think I might start crocheting them together so I can see it growing. I'm using mostly Debbie Bliss Cashmerino DK with some King Cole and Wendy Merino, it's going to be so snugly and soft when it's finished.
You can check out everybody else's progress over at Gingerbread Girl's blog, I've noticed a few have started the ripple blanket too, I started mine over the weekend and loving it but will share more of that in a different post.
I'd just like to thank everyone who left me such kind comments on yesterday's post congratulating me on my new DT post, I'm really touched.
Until next time Happy Crafting.......

Look at you go Deb! Love all the progress you made on those cute little squares. It feels good to see them pile up :) I also missed last week, and also started a new project... I am now leaning towards long stripes with less color changes. I look forward to seeing you assemble them. I had no idea that granny squares/hexagons were such a slow-go. I have a much greater appreciation for them. Have a great week... Nicky
I love both of your blankets. I can't wait to see your ripple.
Hi!
They are both beautiful! I've always wanted to make a hexagon blanket, maybe that will be my next project. Have a great day!

Oh, I hope you will finish your AF hexagons some day. I love them so much!
But your little squares are also really cute and will make a beautiful blanket too.
Have a wonderful week! Barbina
I love the new project. I've been looking at it just today wondering whether it would work with the mountains of Stylecraft I have.....
6 in one hour is impressive :)
Oh wow, you are getting a lot done, can't wait to see the finished project!!!
I really one all the colours you're using - so subtle, Judy x
I think we all have times when we ate no longer inspired by a project, putting it down for a while is the best thing, however I do love your af blanket it's so pretty. Your little granny squares are deliciously cute look forward to seeing it grow. Not sure if I left comment on your post yesterday but congratulations you must be thrilled :-)

Your African flowers are gorgeous, so I hope you soon 'feel the love' again. You square project is pretty too, I like the way they have ridges in the book when joined, d'you think you'll do that?
It's nic to have couple of things on the go at once depending on the mood. Hope you have a lovely week!
Deb, both of these are just beautiful! I love your color choices. Like that little square one. Is the pattern listed on Ravelry?
I too am fed up with my ripple, Im trying to stick with it- but I keep getting distracted and progress is poor!!! I do like those mini squares and love that book,I have it too! Have a great week, Jxx
i love both of these projects they are so cute.!! i really like the af colours. But i know how you feel sometimes you just don't fall in love with projects.xx
I know exactly how you feel.. I have been working on a baby blanket for month's now.. Myles will be in collage before I finish it.. Yours looks gorgeous..

Look at you go girl!! This is gonna be AMAZING! I am LOVING the colors you are using! :):):):):):):):):):)
i like your african flower hexies, you should definitely stick with it! I've made a few things with the hexie pattern, I have a couple of bags I need to line.
I don't know how you cannot be in love with those African flowers, they are gorgeous! Mind you, your other choice is also gorgeous so I can see why you would make that too. I love your colour choices for both projects. hugs xox
I did buy this book a few weeks back and loved that throw. certainly on my to do list but must finish some of my WIP's before I start anything new.
I've found I get bored of the same project all the while which is why I have so many things on the go and to be honest I am likely to be change projects quite often.
If it means I get crocheting each day and make progress I don't feel as if I have failed by mixing projects. The idea is to motivate you to complete the project.
Love your squares and I think with time you will go back to your AF throw. Perhaps its just a little break from it you need. It really is beautiful.
Not going to the crop in November as away at a scrapping retreat & had just come out of hospital after an operation for October and wasn't up to sitting all day but will see you in December
Have a great week and see you soon x
Both blankets are so pretty!
Sooo pretty! I like both of them a lott! =]
Both your projects look great. I am very impressed with how quickly you can make the little squares
I happen to love your AF hexis but if you're not in the right frame of mind for something like that it's a lot of work :(
I have that cute & easy crochet book in my basket at amazon at the moment, it looks like there are quite a few nice projects in it.
Hope you have a good week and feel inspired with your little squares x
They both look lovely to me Deb ... either way ... you are doing a fantastic job and as long as you enjoy what you are doing that's what counts ... enjoy your day
Your AF do look lovely, but you can see your having much more fun with the little squares and they look lovely :)
oh, i LOVE your hexagons, deb! and the little squares are just as cute! i've never been able to crochet.
I really love your AF hexagons and maybe a break from them will make you love them again. Your squares look fantastic and a least you will be able to do more in a shorter time. I can't wait to see your ripple.
Goodness girl, you're amazing! Look at how many hexagons you've already made. Incredible. Love the shapes and colours, can't wait to see the end result, I bet it's going to be more than fantastic! Ira x
