City Crafter Challenge Blog-Week# 6

Hope you're all having a good Bank Holiday Weekend. We haven't done a lot because the weather's been so bad but we have gone out and bought a BBQ ready for those hot sunny days again!!!
This week while looking at some of my favourite blogs I found a  blog called City Crafter Challenge Blog and this week is a recipe  card challenge using:
1 ribbon
2 papers
3 flowers
I love these challenge blogs as it kick starts your mojo and it's always good to see what other crafters have done, you never see two cards the same. Here's my card using the recipe:

The two papers I used were Graphic 45 double-sided papers. The floral paper was Endless Love (Baby 2 Bride collection) and the dictionary paper was Haute Couture (Fashionista Collection).I distressed all the edges using Antique Linen Distress Ink and my Tim Holtz edge distresser to get it nice and shabby.I tore the text paper at the top then rolled the sides to get a v-shape and put a piece of vintage ribbon behind it.

Once again the sewing machine came out I think it's my favourite tool at the moment.I've also started using my Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists a lot lately and used the Sand on the tag, flowers, lace, angel wings and the ribbon. The ribbon started out as white satin but that got the Glimmer Mist treatment as well.To get your custom coloured ribbon spray it until it's completely saturated in dye and leave to dry,if you want a really shabby, crinkled ribbon scrunch it up and wrap an elastic band around it and leave to dry overnight.
I inked the edges of 7Gypsies tag and attached the 3 flowers, some lace and diecut the heart and wings from the new Tim Holtz Alteration die.I  used foam pads on the tag, wings and heart to give it some dimension and tied the ribbon around the card and attached a button to the bow.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Beautiful card, I love the vintage look, the lace that peep through that V shape is my favorite! Talking about sewing machine, I am like you, crazy over all the stitching now. Good stitching job here!
Thanks for playing along with us at CCCB, I am glad you found us! Come join us for a new challenge every Tuesday!
