One-a Day.....Tuesday's Tallies.........

Well, it's been a while since I've joined in with Gingerbread Girl's One-a-Day but with Christmas and my holiday I haven't had time to pick up my hook. Last week though I finally got to get some done, my friend Rae bought me "200 Crochet Blocks" by Jan Eaton and so I started making one square a day from it for Stocki's Beautiful Blogger Blanket 2012, click here for more details. One of the requirements is to use 100% cotton so I used Rowan handknit cotton, I just love the colours that they do.

Waterlily

Alternate Bobbles

Interlocking Stripes

The 4th square is one I've made up myself using a variety of different stitches, this is a bit biggger than the other 3 ,measuring 18x18cm . If you fancy joining in you still have time, Jill needs them in by the 31st January.
Hopefully I'll have more time to do my ripple blanket now, I would like to finish it by the Spring but not sure whether that will be achievable the way I'm going !!!!
Thanks for looking, back soon

I love your squares. That book is brilliant. I've made loads of squares from it. I sent off my squares for the beautiful blogger blanket today. Its so exciting to see everyone's squares. I especially love your mix of stitches in the last square. Wouldn't that be beautiful in a cushion or blanket.

I love the Jan Eaton book. There's a Ravelry group (not very active but still nice for resources) for the 200 squares.

Your squares are lovely. A couple of mine are going to come from the same book, it's one of my favourite bits of calming bedtime browsing.
Beautiful colours, I can see why you love them.

Those squares are fantastic, I really like the brick one but your own one on the end is wonderful.
Your colours are lovely, really vintageish! Especially that mustard and teal colour.
I have made a few squares but need to get them off to Jill this week.

Wow Debs how beautiful these squares are! You are such a neat crocheter and the colours are fantastic. I have that book too, ad strangely, like Hilly, I browse through it at bedtime... that usually keeps me awake for hours imagining what I could make though...It is going to be VERY hard to send this blanket off to the winner when it is finished! :)x
