FO........Playful Stripe Cardigan.

Hello there, I hope you have all had a good week. Winter is here in the U.K .with amber alerts all around the country for heavy snow. Well, it's here in the Midlands and coming down thick and fast at the moment.

It's the perfect day for staying at home, in front of the fire and doing some knitting or crochet, so I think that's what I'll be doing !!!!

I'm back with a FO today, I wanted to finish my Playful Stripes by Alana Dakos by the weekend, guess what, I did by the skin of my teeth, finishing it late Sunday evening.

I used Rowan Cashsoft 4ply for this little project, I really enjoyed knitting the pattern as the body was knitted all in one so no sewing together, hopefully I will get this to Megan over the weekend. It's so soft and snuggly, perfect for this weather.

Check out everyone else's FO's over at Tami's blog.

Have a great weekend and if you're in the U.K. keep warm !!!!

It's nice to be done with an item when the last stitch is made, isn't it. I like knitting the body in one go, too. Lovely sweater, pattern and colours. Happy weekend. Regula

I absolutely LOVE that - I was fancying the pattern myself before I saw this and I just LOVE the colours you've used. Wish I had one for myself, it's snowing heavily here too and very cold!!!! Keep safe x

Oh, I'm envious of your fireside knitting plans. It sounds lovely. Speaking of lovely, that sweater certainly is.

The sweater turned out excellently! We've definitely had a taste of winter, but today the high is around 50°F and most of our snow has melted.

Oh Deb...this is beautiful! You do such beautiful knitting.

I watched the news on Itv and Channel4 both of which I get here and have seen how bad it is in England. Much worse than we had.

Last week was when we got hit. Over 1000 km in backed up traffic. My husband worked from home in the morning to avoid it all.

Stay warm and enjoy your knitting and crocheting while the snowflakes fall.

Hugs from Holland ~
Heidi

Well, I can see where all the snow has gone. So very pretty - but always causes problems in the UK. Here in Michigan we have no snow, but it's very cold.

Love the gorgeous cardigan - pretty colours and the stripes look fab!

the cardi is stunning, I think I have that pattern to knit up but my skills are not advanced enough as yet.
I love the colours you used.
Hope you are staying warm in the midlands. Here in the north we have just had a sprinkling of snow.

The softness of the color palette is such a hug. She will love it. Our Amber Alerts here in the U.S. are for missing children. Interesting how yours is for weather.
