Can you see where I'm going with my blog title's,they're all Christmas song's,don't know how long I can carry it on for ! It really is cold in the U.K.at the moment,it looks so pretty though. This is the view from my bedroom window,it looks like a scene from Narnia.
It was our Christmas crop on Saturday and we all had a great time,we all had a cracker and prezzie on our table. We had turkey rolls for lunch,I supplied the Christmas tunes and Libby did a 12 Days of Christmas Just for Fun Challenge. There was a lot of laughter and Christmas cheer in the room!!! In the afternoon I did a festive class where I did a Christmas card and a tree decoration.
On a Fridays,
Sue does something called Fridays Picks and she lists her favourite blogs, challenges etc. that she's seen through the week. Last week there was a
link for an Oragami Christmas Tree which gave me the idea for this card. I didn't follow it exactly,I sort of made my own by using 5 different sized scalloped square Nesties and I didn't do all the folds but I'm quite pleased how it turned out.I added a bit of Christmas sparkle with glitter around the bottom of each segment and then a star to the top.
You could use the next project as a Christmas tree decoration,a tag or attach it to a card (which I will do for my nieces and nephews cards). I just used the largest square scalloped Nestie punched out the heart shape with the SU extra large heart punch and filled a heart shape Treat Cup with sweets, adhere another scalloped square to the back, covering up the Treat Cup. Everything I used for these two projects are Stampin'Up except the dotty embossing folder which is Cuttlebug.
I had a little production line going at the crop and got 20 of these little cards done.I stamped the base card with a SU Merry Christmas sentiment, cut out the shaped Nestie label, punched out the holly shape with a Martha Stewart punch and then attached gold glitter paper behind the holly shape using 3d foam, glued that to the base card and attached a bow,and there you have a quick and simple card for when you have to make so many.
I'd like to thank
Sue and
Lisa for kindly awarding me this lovely blog award,I'm a bit short on time at the moment but will try and answer questions and pass it on when I have a bit more time. Thanks again, ladies!!!
Have a good day,everyone.
Back Soon!
