I'm so excited as on Saturday I'm off to Bromsgrove Cropaganza,we have two a year and I get to scrap from 11am - 11pm.We've got Morag Cutts coming to teach 3 classes, the sneek peeks look fab!!! Scrapz are bringing their shop so some retail therapy as well, what more could I ask for!!! If anybody lives around the Bromsgrove area there are a four places left so if you want a day of scrapping, retail therapy,a good laugh and a hot meal, get in touch. The cost of the whole day with classes is £45.
I didn't get a lot of scrapping done over the weekend like I'd planned because I just felt really lazy,I slept in,watched some T.V. and got hooked on the game Bejeweled. I have done one LO today with my kit I won from Simply Obsessed, the photo is of me taken in 1973 at Rhyl in my terry towelling bikini, lol.

CCCB Week #19- I See Stars
Well it's Bank Holiday Weekend here in the U.K. and the weather is awful,I don't think a day has gone by since I got back from my holiday that it hasn't rained. We won't be going anywhere in this weather so at least I can get some scrapping and cardmaking done and visit all the great challenge blogs. One of my favourite's is City Crafter Challenge Blog and the host for week #19 is June who as choosen 'I See Stars' for this week's challenge so like it says on the tin you must use stars on your project.
The red star paper is from Websters Pages and the blue lined paper is Sassafras Anthem. I used a Martha Stewart border punch and distressed all the edges with Vintage Photo DI.
I die cut the tag using Spellbinders and inked the edges,I then added some eyelets and threaded through some twine.
The star was also cut out using a Spellbinder die using metal sheet and embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.I painted the star with blue paint and inked with brown Staz-On and then sanded across the embossed area taking off the paint and ink.
I raised the tag and star with 3D foam pads to give some dimension and lastly added some buttons and the 'you're a star' title.
I'd like to thank CCCB for choosing me as one of their Spotlight Artists last week for my ' Isn't She Lovely' entry.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Week #24-'A Little Bit of Metal'
The challenge this week over at The Shabby Tea Room is to use metal on your project and to use the photo for inspiration.I was very excited when I saw this week's challenge as I'd bought a shadow box and metal sheets from LB Crafts weeks ago for the purpose of using lots of metal bits to alter it.
I covered the frame with BG Cappella and stamped it with Paper Artsy stamps, I painted over the PP with Green Patina paint using dry brush strokes and then inked the edges with Vintage Photo DI.The flower is also made from metal, here's a link to something similar but I used a 6 petal stamped flower rather than a punch and only two layers.I stamped the Paper Artsy grunge flower twice onto metal sheet using brown Staz-On,I then cut them out and embossed them using the Tim Holtz Collage embossing folder.I lightly painted them with the Green Patina and then went over the embossed area with Antique Linen DI using a Websters Sparkler for the centre.
I framed the title using a Tim Holtz metal frame, the angel wings are from Tim Holtz Alterations die using metal sheet and distressing like I did with the metal flower.Lastly on the frame I added some Maya Road crystal droplets.
The inside of the box I used BG Cappella PP again with a large Jenni Bowlin Bingo Card and added some vintage lace. The butterfly is a Tattered Angel frame which I sprayed with TA Glimmer Mist and added a paper rose which also had the Glimmer Mist treatment.I pinned a Tim Holtz Philosphy Tag to the paper rose which says Cherish, I chose that sentiment as I cherish and adore my two girls so much!!! Lastly I added a Prima swirl and a couple of pretty pins.
I really enjoyed making this shadow box and think I will be doing more altered art projects in the future.
As always thank you for looking and leaving me such lovely comments,I really appreciate all comments left and it's a great way for me to get the link to all the wonderful blogs out there!

Thank You,Simply Obsessed
A few weeks ago one of my layouts won a sketch challenge on Sketch Inspiration and the prize was donated by Simply Obsessed ,who do great monthly kits(I've just had a look at September's kit,it is gorgeous). When I arrived back home from my holiday,my prize was waiting for me and what a great kit, full of Lilybee papers and other yummy goodies.I'd like to thank Heather for donating such a wonderful prize and shipping it over to me.
I would also like to say thank you to Stella for this lovely Blogger Award,it was originally from Russia,Stella sent me a really sweet email and I'm very honoured that she feels I inspire her.Stella has a great blog so why not click the link and have a look.
Before I left for my hols I did a second LO with my Roadshow kit from Sarah's Cards Ltd that Libby and Rae bought me for my birthday.I love this Fancy Pants range the papers are so pretty and lovely soft colours.
All except the alpha's which are Making Memories everything was from the kit even the flower which I made from the brown paper bag that had the embellishments inside. I punched out some scalloped circles and circles from the paper bag, braded them together, scrunched them up and inked them with distress ink.

Linda is this week's host over at City Crafter Challenge Blog and has set the challenge of using a girl or a lady on your project. I'd got some vintage stickers that I bought ages ago that had a gorgeous little girl on one of them so I decided to use that.
The papers are Graphic 45 'Baby 2 Bride' collection,I made the flowers using satin ribbon and added some Prima pearls to the centre. The 'Life is Beautiful' stamp is from Rubber Stampede.
I also used this week's sketch from Card Patterns.

The Shabby Tea Room Week #21
Well, all the cases are packed, all the washing and housework is done so I'm all ready for the off in the morning. We're going to Gozo for two and half weeks for our summer holiday and really looking forward to some sun,sea and sand.
When I saw this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room I really wanted to take part so I got everything done this morning so I could craft one last time before I go.The challenge is called 'House and Home' and to use soft blues, white, cream and browns and/or with a house.I bought a Maya Road chipboard house a few weeks ago so I decided to decorate that for the challenge.
The blue paper was Websters Pages and the brown was Basic Grey Capella,I used a Martha Stewart punch for the fence.I made some little spiral roses for the side of the house and the little wooden heart with the saying 'Sunshine always follows the rain' was one of my purchases when I went to Bridgenorth the other day.
Enjoy the summer holidays and I will be back in about three weeks.
