Bloomin CAL...........and a FO.

Good morning, I'm back today with this week's progress on my Pretty Pastel Hexagon Blanket for the Bloomin' CAL hosted by Chrissie and Marianne.

Unfortunately, there hasn't been a lot of crochet going on this week as I was concentrating on the Striped Baby Jacket and Hat which I wanted to finish before I went to see my friend and her new baby boy.

I've started adding the border around the centres, that I finished last week but have only managed six complete hexagons this week....................

but I have completed the Fair Isle Style Crochet Cardigan by Sarah Lora.

The buttons are sewn on, I used some wooden buttons that I had in my stash.

I've left it hanging in my craft room as I just get so much pleasure looking at it, is that sad??????? I can't wait to see Olivia in it, when I give it to her for Christmas. I hope to start another one soon in another colourway.

Talking about Christmas, my friend, Kerry came around my house, yesterday, for some Christmas crafting. I'm so glad she came round as I haven't done any papercrafting for three months and had lost all inspiration but Kerry has inspired me to create again!!!

Check out Chrissie Crafts and Ladybird Diaries for more projects on the Bloomin' Crochet-A-Long.

Thanks for popping by.

Hi Deb the little sweater is just adorable I love it - I would be exactly the same, in fact I do the same as you, hanging things up in my tiny sewing room just for the pleasure of looking at them. It gives so much enjoyment. Your hexagons are beautiful and considering the knitting you are doing too you are amazing. Just love your work and your blog. Have a wonderful weekend
Big hugs

Sweet baby clothes. I like the little crocheted cardi. Seeing your snowflakes has reminded me that I intend to make my own cards this year - I had better crack on! Best wishes, Pj x

Of course you should hang up the cardi and admire it - you have created a beautiful work of art! The colours, the texture, it really is a joy to see. And I'm sure it will be even prettier when seen on the intended little one! ;-) I'm behind on my hexies as well, but honestly, I just love looking at your pretty balls of yarn and half-made crochet anyway! Your hexagons are looking great :) I really love that fairisle cardi, I want one!!

I noticed you haven't been doing much card crafting, I guess everyone goes through those phases huh. Does this mean we will see more lovely card crafting again? :D

That little cardi is gorgeous, I can just see that in pale grey and blues for my grandson. Lovely work.
And your hexies are coming on a treat, I really like the pastel shades you picked. What is the yarn your using, if you don't mind me asking?

Your hexies are looking lovely Deb and I really enjoyed working with the fine Merino when I did quite a few months ago, it is such lovely yarn to work with. Your Cardigan is gorgeous, I wouldn't want it to leave either and would want it to stay hanging. You have really inspired me to do a cardigan, so thank you for that. Enjoy your weekend xoxo
