My Final Week as Guest Designer for CR84FN.......

It's my last week as Guest Designer for CR84FN and have thoroughly enjoyed been part of the team for last month,I would like to thank Mona and the Design Team for the warm welcome I received.
This week's colours are beautiful but not colours I would normally use but it wouldn't be called a colour challenge if it didn't push your boundaries sometimes.

Photo's courtesy of Embrace Life Photograhy

I love the CAS look but don't normally use that style myself so I decided to give it a go,I hope you like it.I used Basic Grey Lemonade paper range, the frame is from Melissa Frances and a Prima swirl.
Why not take a look what the talented designers have done with this colour combo.

Mona

Thanks again to the team and I will look forward to carrying on playing along with the weekly challenges.

A Couple of Layouts.......

Hi there, what beautiful weather we're having here in the U.K.,it's warm and sunny so nice after the harsh winter we had. A bit of sunshine makes everyone feel so much better and happier.
I just wanted to post a couple of LO's that I did at the Bromsgrove Cropaganza, way back at the beginning of March.
The first LO was done using a sketch from Sketchy Thursday.

I used my Pixie Dust January kit for the 'Prom Hairdo' LO,I love this kit and have done a few pages with it and have still got loads left.

For this LO I used My Minds Eye 'fine and dandy' range, that my lovely friend Rach bought me for Christmas.
I'm busy packing today as tomorrow I'm off to the GoGo Getaway with Libby until Sunday,I'm so looking forward to going,we've had to make a name badge with a PJ party theme which stumped me at first but I've just finished it and quite pleased with the result (will show you in the next couple of days). We are doing 7 classes during the course of the weekend,we had 21 to choose from !!!! and lots of free cropping time.On Saturday night we are having a scrapbooking PJ Party, how much fun does that sound,I've got my new pyjamas all ready. We are stopping at this beautiful hotel down in Hertfordshire.

I'm sure I will come back absoloutely shattered but will have the time of my life, will try and pop in to show you what I've been up to if I've got internet. Have a great weekend and I will be back soon.

Celebrate the Season......

This week's challenge  over at Jingle Belles is a sketch by Alison Fillo,as you all probably know by now I'm a big fan of sketches so I loved doing this week's card.

Here's my 12th card of the year:

I'm trying to use up my older Christmas stash for these challenges like my friend Lisa, I've had these Cosmo Cricket papers and embellishments for years so you will probably be seeing this range quite a lot on my Christmas cards (I forgot I'd got it).
Thanks for stopping by,

Happy Sunday !!!! Here are this week's colours for CR84FN, a gorgeous mix of plum, lavender and green,I love shades of lavender so I don't know why I don't use it more on my projects, but I got the chance with this week's colours.

Here's my card:

All the products I used are from Stampin'Up,the DP are Pear Pizazz and Perfect Plum from the paper stack,I diecut the scallop circle using a Sizzix scalloped circle and stitched around the edge. The border punches used are Scallop Edge and Scallop Trim. I stamped the 'All a Flutter' butterfly in Perfect Plum and 'Growing Green' leaf stamp in Certain Celery, the edges were distressed with Crumb Cake.
If you love this colour combo as much as me,why not take a look at what the other Design Team Members have done and be inspired.

A Fun Crafty Night......

I don't usually post twice in a day but last night me and 7 crafty friends went to The Secret Crafter to get some tips on using our Pro-Markers. We all had a great night with lots of laughing,we even had a sing-a-long at one point and of course we picked up some great tips off Tracie who is amazing with Pro-Markers. I'd like to thank Wendy for organising this workshop for us and hope to do another one soon. We walked away with a Tilda image coloured in using all the hints and tips we were shown and some patterned paper to match our image so we could make our card at home.
This afternoon I was blog hopping and saw a fab sketch over at Just Magnolia, the challenge was due to close in 4 hours (that's the reason for two posts in one day) so I got my skates on and made a card using the Tilda image and papers from last night.

Also I'm entering it into 'Flowers for Mom' over at Saturday Challenge. Thank you to my lovely friends for a really enjoyable evening.

My Two Princesses......

Happy St Patricks Day,everyone. I'm off to see the Irish band 'The Script' tonight so I'll be celebrating in style, can't wait!!!! Whatever you're doing hope you have a great day.
It is week #48 over at the City Crafter Challenge Blog and this week's host is the lovely Kirsty, the creator of this fabulous challenge blog. The theme is 'The King & I' inspired by Monte Carlo,so this week you have to add a crown to your project.

This a photo of my two princesses when they were a lot younger,it was my youngest daughters Christening. They were both cheeky monkeys when they were little especially when they saw a camara,as you can see on this photo.  I used the Pixie Dust January Monthly kit, there was a bag of diecuts in the kit including a cute little pink crown which I used on this LO.
Thanks for stopping by,have a great day.

'Cool Yule'.....

It's week #11 over at Jingle Belles and I'm getting myself a nice pile of Christmas cards all ready to send to my friends and family. This week Leslie aka The Crooked Stamper has choosen a non-traditional colour pallette of kraft, light blue and white, I prefer using non-traditioal colours at Xmas so really enjoyed doing this week's card.

This card was difficult to photograph to show it at it's best but here's what I did, I embossed the BG cardstock with the Tim Holtz snowflake folder and dry brushed some white acrylic paint over. I used a Tim Holtz Salvage Sticker and attached it to some kraft card,so this is my 'Cool Yule' Christmas card.

CIty Crafter Challenge Blog - Week #47

Another week over which means another challenge over at City Crafter Challenge Blog, first I would like to thank the team for having me as their Guest Designer last week, I really enjoyed it. This week's host is the lovely, talented Ros and she has choosen the theme 'In My Pocket' ,so your creation has to have some sort of pocket.

I love this week's challenge and couldn't wait to get in my craft room yesterday afternoon as I had an idea floating around in my head so I prepared dinner and got all my housework out of the way then got started on my pocket card. I love all the stamped button cards that are popular at the moment but haven't got any of the stamps so I decided to make my own version.I made two pockets to fit my two tags, I used Cosmo Cricket papers, the dress form is a new TH Alteration die and the sewing stamps are also Tim Holtz.

This is definitely a two in one card, with a greetting  and a small gift which will go to one of my crafting friends so they can use the pins and buttons.

Back Soon.

Home for the Holidays.....

That's the prompt this week over at Jingle Belles choosen by Rose , so your Christmas card has to have something to do with home whether past or present. I choose my childhood home at Christmas, there was me,my sister and brother , we may not have had lots of money but Mom and Dad always made sure their children never went without.Every Christmas they would fill our stockings with things we wanted, hence the three stockings on the card and we always had the old tradition of an orange and some nuts !!! We would all pile onto their bed Christmas morning full of excitement, opening all our presents from the stocking then go downstairs and they'd be even more presents under the tree, we we're very lucky children.

I used some Cosmo Cricket papers and the Peace,Love and Joy stamp is from Stampin'Up.

Thanks for stopping by.

Scrapbookers Anonymous March Challenge...

Well, another month over which mean's it's time for a new challenge over at Scarpbookers Anonymous . If you're anything like me you keep buying all these gorgeous flowers from your local craft shop but then don't use them because you like them to much and just want to look at them, lol. This month's challenge is all about 'Flower Power' so you need to use at least 7 flowers on your LO or card, the idea behind this challenge blog is to use up some of your stash so we ask that you don't use handmade flowers on this one.

One of my favourite manufacturers is Prima and I buy lots of Prima Flowers which I tend to hoard so I made a point of using my favourites that I've been saving for a special occasion !!!!
Everything on this LO is Prima apart from the doily, alphabet and the Maya Road chipboard angel wings which I added glitter to.
So come on all you scrapbookers and cardmakers click here and start using up some of your stash and you could win some new CHA goodies, also check out the other designer's projects and see how they have used up some of their flowers.

Thanks for stopping by.

Guest Designer for City Crafter Challenge Blog....

I'm absoloutely thrilled to have be invited as this week's Guest Designer over at City Crafter Challenge Blog , this is such a great challenge blog and I'm very honoured to have been asked to work with such talented designers. It is week #46 and Cheryl is this week's hostess and she has choosen the theme 'Spring Fling' ,this a colour challenge using pastel pink, blue, green and cream, yippee,my favourite colours and there is also a beautiful collage photo to get you even more inspired.

I bought a plain wooden house a few weeks ago from Bubbly Funk and when I saw this colour scheme I knew I wanted to use these colours on it.

I painted the whole house in cream acrylic paint, then added some of my favourite family photo's, from my scrap box I cut to size some pretty papers to fit the different compartments. Then came the fun bit adding all the embellishments.I filled a mini glass jar with pearl beads, wrapped patterned paper around cotton reels added pretty stick pins, covered the tiny wooden house and Maya Road dress form in paper. The bunting is made using Stampin'Up 'Party this Way' set, I stamped it once onto plain card then again onto some patterned paper which I cut the centre triangle out and adhered onto the stamped cardstock. I added the word 'Family' using an Echo Park alphabet.
This week's sponsor is Pixie Dust Paperie so if you fancy having a go at this week's challenge and also see what projects the talented City Crafter ladies have made click here.
