Beauty Product Junkie............

Do you ever get excited when you read a blog post about something you love? Well, That's what happened  when I saw Nicki's post here. It was all about her been a beauty product junkie and her fave products. I'll put my hands up and admit, I'm also a beauty product junkie and can spend hours looking around the beauty hall of large department especially Selfridges. It's the smells, the colours and packaging, I'm a sucker for nice packaging, these big cosmetic companies know how to suck you into their world.

I actually had my dream job for many years, I started out as a Beauty Consultant for YSL Beaute, got to love their Touche Eclat,  then I got promoted to Account Manager, moving onto Chanel then I did promotions for many different companies, yes I was one of those annoying ladies who try and get you to try a new perfume when your're walking through the store minding your own business !!!!
These are my face and body must-haves.

As I've got older I do prefer the more natural products for my skin, I love the fragrance of the natural plant extracts and I just feel it is doing my skin good more than the chemical based products with all the preservatives. I've been using Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish for years, it's amazing, the smell and feel of it on your skin is gorgeous and it takes off eye make-up too, you are left with clean, soft skin with no tightening, a great natural skincare range, they've just started a make up range too so want to try that soon. I can't be without Decleor Neroli Aromessence, suits all skin types and I never go outside in the summer without Clarins UV Plus SPF40.

L'Occitane shower gels are a firm favourite of mine, the fragrances are just gorgeous, another L'Occitane must-have is the hand-cream.My latest find are Neom products, all natural and they smell devine, I'm using the Refresh Body Oil at the moment and I've got the Tranquilty candle that I burn just before bedtime, bliss !!!

I use to be very adventurous with my make-up, following trends in all the glossy mags, when I was a teen I wouldn't be seen without my Rimmel Heather Shimmer lipstick but now I'm getting on a bit, lol, I stick to a few favourites.

My make-up looks really boring with all that black but I love Chanel and Bobbi Brown and both of their packaging is black !!!! My desert island product would be Bare Minerals Medium Beige Foundation. I use it everyday even if I'm not going out, the minerals are good for your skin and it has a natural SPF. When I want a bit more coverage I use YSL Perfect Touch Radiance foundation, it gives a lovely sheen to the skin.

My favoured bronzer is Chanel silky bronzer in Toundra, it lasts for ages but I'm going to give the Nars a try that Nicki recommends, next time I have to buy some, I love my eyeliner and have every colour of the Chanel waterproof eyeliner. I'm using Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick on my cheeks, it's multi-purpose and can  be used as an eyeshadow another one I use is Benefit Coralista but I'm on the hunt for a good cream blusher that lasts so if anybody can recommend one I'd appreciate it.

I don't own a lipstick but love my lip glosses and will try any brand if I like the colour, I've heard a lot recently about Superdrug MUA lip gloss, at just £2 I think it's worth a try, has anybody tried it yet ?

This was a real girly post so thanks for sticking with it, I would love to know what your favourite products are. Have a great weekend, let's hope the sun starts shining again for Jubilee weekend.

I like this post... I am kind of laughing thinking of you being one of the perfume ladies. He he. I did discover one of my favorite perfumes that way though. It was Lancome's Black Magic. I don't know if they even make it anymore.

Girl you're high maintenance!! Lol!
My only indulgence is Chanel No.5 perfume ... and I use Bare minerals blusher and veil ... fabulous! They have a primer if you want lasting coverage ...

Ooh, lovely post Deb! We have a lot of the same products. I love the YSL Perfect Touch foundation and use it daily. I have been meaning to try the Estee Lauder Double Wear one as so many people have recommended it. I am also a huge L'Occitane fan and have recently converted to their 'Divine' skincare range. It is AMAZING! Give it a try. When we go into town, I'll show you. I was working again this week and hubby is off next week so I'll be in touch soon. xxx

I have my moments of high maintenance but most of the time I don't bother with products....it is probably bad for me, as I don't moisturise my skin or anything!!

Though I can't go without my eyeliner :)

Just look at all those amazing products. I am always so confused by it all.. So I just keep on using the same old product I have been using for years.. Mary Kay.. I just love how the moisturizer makes my skin feel. I really enjoyed this post..

Thanks~

Thank you for sharing!
I'm never been into make-up or perfume, however, I never leave my house without sunscreen, even in the winter. I make sure I carry a small bottle so I can reapply my face during the day.

Hugs,
Martha H.

We girls love those stores, don't we? I've always wore lipstick, eyeliner and eye shadow, even when I work in the garden, hey, I wouldn't want to frighten the plants, now would I? ;-) Thanks for the fun post Deb! Ira x
