Mojo Monday #302......Summer Flowers Birthday Card.

Hello there, hope you all had a great weekend. Are you all Brits enjoying the glorious weather that we are having in the UK. We went away for a few days in a Yurt, it was fab, the weather certainly helped.

I'm back today with this week's sketch from Mojo Monday.

Here's my card.........

I cut four 5cm squares from kraft card and stamped IBS Summer Flowers in Versamark ink and heat embossed some aqua and white embossing powders. I inked around the edges in white pigment ink, giving a soft look to the flower squares.

Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back tomorrow with a post about my mini break in a Yurt.

Baby Thank You Cards..........

Good Morning, how are you all doing? As you all know, my sister recently had a baby, so to save her worrying about buying Thank You cards, for all the beautiful gifts she'd received, I decided to make her some..

Because, I had to make so many, I went for a simple stamped card. I stamped the little onesie from the Inspired by Stamping, Oh Baby, then I stamped the separate stars stamp, in red, onto the front of the onesie, finishing of with a "Thank You".

I tied them up with some twine and added a tag, stamped "with love", just to make them a bit more special when I gave them to her.

It is "Anything Goes" over at Addicted to Stamps and More so I'm going to enter this card to the challenge.

Stamps used
Oh Baby (onsie and stars)
Cross Stitch (thank you)
Mason Jar Add-On II (with love)

Have a great weekend!!!!

Let's Get Trendy Now! 3-Day 2.........Sequins.

Good morning, another beautiful sunny day here in the U.K. and I'm off for afternoon tea later for my friend's birthday, it's a perfect day for it.

It's Day 2 of Let's Get Trendy Now! 3 and today they are focusing on sequins, I knew from yesterday's post it was going to be sequins. I think I must of been dreaming about sequins last night and what I could do with them. When I woke up this morning, I knew exactly what I was going to make, does anybody else dream about crafting or is it just me????

I'd recently bought some sequins from Poundland, as I'd been seeing quite a few people using them on their projects.. They were large bags, crammed full of all sizes, shapes and different shades of one colour. I bought the pink and blue but I might get the other colours next time I go.

It's my niece's birthday tomorrow, she will be 10, so the first one I made was with the pink sequins, this is another quick and easy card to make. I can spend hours on one card but today's two cards took me less than an hour as did my card, yesterday.

I die-cut two pieces of vellum using the Spellbinders Scalloped Square and stitched three sides together, I filled the little vellum bags with sequins and stitched the last edge. I glued the shaker bag onto some white card, it seemed to get lost on the patterned paper. I used Helmar 450 glue as it dries perfectly clear so you can't see it through the vellum.

I stitched around the patterned paper and adhered to the front of my card, then centred my bag of sequins, finally a punched out glitter butterfly and a sentiment. I love this stamp set from Inspired by Stamping, as it as lots of different words so you can make up your own sentiments.

Supplies
Stamps- Inspired by Stamping Little Phrases.
Paper- Prima, Vellum, Glitter Card.
Pretties- Sequins, Spellbinder Nestabilities, SU Rhinestones.

One last thing to share with you, my sister had her baby boy on Saturday. He was 12 days late but once he decided it was time to get out, he'd arrived within one and half hours, weighing 9lb 8oz.

He was just a few hours old here, they have named him Adam.

I was away when he was born so this was my first cuddle, he is 36 hours old in this photo, he's a right little bruiser and so adorable. He was been passed around like a parcel but it really didn't seem to bother him, he just kept opening one eye to see who'd got him, then fell asleep again, bless. Needless to say, I'm a very proud Aunty!!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to look, back soon.

I die cut a couple of flowers in felt from Tim Holtz Tattered Floral, stitching a button to the centre, I also die cut a couple of felt leaves, to finish it off.

Naming Day Cards........for twins.

Good morning, another long weekend for us, here in the U.K. Mick and I are going to Glynn Purnell's bistro later, which we've been looking forward to for ages. Mick loves to watch cookery programmes and one of his favourite T.V. chef's is Glynn Purnell, so for his birthday, back in March, I bought him vouchers to go to his restaurant. I was hoping booking in May the weather might be better but it's cold, wet and windy, much the same as March!!!

Anyway, I'm back to show you these Naming Day cards I made for baby twins. My neighbour knocked the door a couple of weeks ago, asking if I still made cards. She had been searching for Naming Day cards in shops but could only find one and was worried that everyone would be sending them the same card.

The brief was, one for a boy and one for a girl, simple and personalised, so I pulled out two sets of my Inspired by Stamping stamps and got stamping.

I used the Fancy Alphabet set, and stamped out their names, blue for a boy, pink for a girl, I punched out the letters using a square punch. I also punched plain, coloured card with a scalloped edge square punch to mount the letters on.

I then stamped the boy and girl outfit on the hanger, from the Oh Baby set, onto white card, in black ink and cut them out. Next, I stamped the same images onto patterned paper using the same colour ink as their names. I cut around just the outfit, without the hanger and adhered to the front of the other stamped image.

I hung them with foam pads onto some twine and on my printer, printed out "On your Naming Day", to give the curved 3D look, I put two foam pads on top of each other in the centre and a glue dot at either end.

My neighbour seemed really pleased with them and I'm sure the babies won't get another card like this. Here in the U.K. it's really hard to get cards for occasions like this, Baby Showers are the same, everybody has to buy the same card. Maybe, I should specialise in these, I might make my fortune, lol.

Have a great weekend, and a fab Bank Hoiliday to my U.K. friends.

This week it's the Round or Square sketch.

I went with the square.

I stamped the clock and added the Prima clock hands adding tiny pearls around the edge. A nice quick card, now to start my housework,' bleugh' !!!

Supplies
Paper- Prima Tea Thyme
Pretties- IBS Flower, Prima Clock Hands, SU Pearls, pink seam-binding ribbon.

IBSIC #50......Light Blue, Light Pink and Light Green.

Hello my friends, I'm back today with a card for this week's Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge, this is the first time in a while since I've created a card for the challenge. I have so much going on at the minute, I have 80 wedding invitations and favour boxes to make and I'm organising a Baby  Shower for my sister, hopefully, I'll have a bit more time in the next couple of weeks.

Here is this week's inspiration board, a beautiful, soft colour palette, perfect for Spring.

I went with an Easter card as I had some gorgeous new Inspired by Stramping Easter stamps that I wanted to ink up.

I also used this week's sketch from Mojo Monday.

I stamped the mason jar from the IBS Mason Jar set and stamped onto some lined paper, I stamped the Easter eggs from the Mason Jar Add-On III and added some glitter to the eggs. Next I stamped the lid, also from the Add-On III onto some blue patterned paper and added some ruched ribbon along the rim of the lid. Lastly, I stamped part of one of the Easter Labels and tied some linen thread around the lid to attach, finishing off with a bow and an IBS Flower.

I hope you can join us this week, one lucky winner will win a $15 gift card to the store.

Hi, I'm back today with three of the new releases from Inspired by Stamping, including this week's Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge.

The first set I'm going to show you is Crafty Organization, I'm so excited about this stamp set. It is what every crafter needs, and as it's the New Year and if you are anything like me, you will be thinking about  de-cluttering and organizing your stash, you will want to create labels for everything !!!!!

I've already made a start and have bought these Kilner Jars with removable centres, the circle stamp fits perfectly inside the removable lid. I've filled them with all my favourite products IBS Flowers, washi tape and buttons.I also used IBS Gingham Washi Tape around the edge, covering the gold rim.
Another Kilner Jar creation is this Pincushion Sewing Jar, I've made as a gift.

I stamped the label and and cut out using the new Fancy Label Die, the 'Stitched with Love' sentiment was from the Cross Stitch stamp set. I then filled the jar with threads, needles, ribbon and buttons.

Whoo Hoo Wednesday.........stamping on ribbon.

Hi there, crafty friends, I'm back today with this week's Inspired by Stamping Whoo Hoo Wednesday. Today, I'm going to show you how to make your own custom ribbon by stamping onto some plain ribbon. My favourite sort of ribbon to stamp on is a plain cotton with a nice, even weave.

Decide what stamps and inks that you want to use, I choose to use the bunting from the Mason Jar set and 'birthday wishes' from Little Phrases. I'm using SU water-based dye ink in Tempting Turquoise, Summer Starfruit, Calypso Coral, Lucky Lemonade and Melon Mambo.

I prefer to use darker, deeper colours so it shows up better on ribbon, the colour doesn't stamp as dark as if it was on card.

So that's all there is to it, very simple, you could use any stamps, any colours, to match whatever papers, you want to use.

It's my friend's little granddaughter's birthday soon, so I made this card for her, using the stamped ribbon.

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and will give it a go soon.
Supplies
Stamps- Mason Jars, Little Phrases
Papers- Pink Paislee.
Pretties- SU Cotton Ribbon, K and Co Felt Flowers.
Tools- SU Scalloped Border Punch
