Whoo Hoo Wednesday.......Masking....
Hi there, it's Whoo Hoo Wednesday over at Inspired by Stamping and it's my turn to share a technique with you, I decided to show you how to mask. I love this technique, it is very simple but so effective. Masking is the technique of covering a stamped image so other images can be placed over it without them overlapping, giving a fabulous layered effect.
Start off by stamping the images you want to use onto some scrap card, I stamped each image twice and cut out as close to the edge as possible. This is the time consuming bit but once you've done it you can keep them and use them over and over again.
Once cut out use a temporary glue on the back, I used the Quickie Glue pen which when applied and left to dry, it becomes repositionable.
I started from the top left hand corner and stamped the two largest flowers from the IBS Daisies set next to each other, I covered them with the masks and stamped the small daisy inbetween the two flowers, slightly overlapping, this image will be now look like it's in the background.I removed the masks and carried on stamping around the card, covering any stamped image with the mask that I was stamping over, as I've shown in the above photo. The little leaf I used is from Little Flowers set, .
Here's my finished card, I left some white space in the centre and added a sentiment, I also added buttons to some of the flower centres to add a bit of dimension.
You will find a new tutorial every Wednesday over at Inspired by Stamping.
Thank you for joining me, I'll be back tomorrow with the new Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge

The Shabby Tea Room #116....Colour me Pretty.
Hello, how are you all doing, I'm suppose to be organizing things for my holiday next week but got distracted when I saw this week's challenge at The Shabby Tea Room. It was the gorgeous inspiration photo that made me stop what I was doing and make a card instead.
Can you just imagine sat at that pretty table eating lunch in the sunshine........The challenge is to create a card/project using white/cream, pink and blue plus flowers and a fabric embellishment.
I embellished a Girls Paperie tag using a diecut butterfly, flower and lace then stamped the words. I also used Girls Paperie papers and stitched around the edges adding a diecut heart border, finishing off with a twine bow and button.

A Picnic at Trimpley.........
Hello my lovelies, I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a wonderful day yesterday with family and close friends. The weather has been glorious over the last week in the U.K. so yesterday we packed up a picnic and drove out to Trimpley reservoir, a beautiful place that is right on our doorstep.
Here's some of my photo's of the day, be warned there's quite a few.
It makes me so happy to spend days like these, good company, good food, the sun shining and a glass of Pimms, what more could a girl ask for.The climb back up that hill to the car was a killer though with all our luggage but well worth it and hopefully there'll be lots more days like this through the summer.
Thanks for letting me share these photo's.

Handmade Heart Swap..............
It's me again, I don't normally post twice in one day but I had to let you know about the Handmade Heart Swap that I've signed up for.
As I was blog hopping last week I came across a fabulous blog called Mary Poppins, I spent an age looking through all the posts and the wonderful photography. Mary posts are so varied with bits about crafts, family, fashion and loads more, well worth a visit.
Anyway when I went back a couple of days later, I saw that she was organizing a Handmade Heart Swap which really appealed to me, who wouldn't love to receive some handmade gifts.
All you have to do is leave a comment here to sign up and find out the full details. Mary will pair you, then start creating ready to send your partner 5 heart related items and they do the same, though it says handmade you can send one or two thrifted items. There is no skill level, it's just about sending the love !!!!!!!
It's open to everyone, U.K. and International so is you're interested you have until the 27th May to sign up.
If you are looking for my IBSIC post it's here.
Happy Crafting

Sunday Afternoon...............
Hello there, I hope you've all enjoyed your weekend. I've a had a quiet one, I'm just waiting for the nice weather to arrive so we can go for days out. There are some places I would like to visit that I've never had chance to before, Bath is at the top of my list, there are a couple of yarn shops I'd like to go to as well as all the vintage shops, so bring on the sunshine.
I had a lazy day this morning, I had a cup of coffee in bed whilst I did some of my tapestry, when I went downstairs to get my scissors, my Hubby laughed at me saying even my PJ's matched my scissors. I do love anything pretty, girly and floral and he has to sleep in a very feminine room !!!!!
Roll out the pastry and slice the tomatoes and cheddar.
Alternate the sliced cheese and tomato then tear ham and goats cheese, layer over the top.
Put into a pre-heated oven of 200 degree and cook for about 20 minutes until golden and all the cheese has melted.

When I eventually got my butt out of bed I made lunch, none of us are big fans of the traditional Sunday lunch of meat and two veg so this week I made a cheese, tomato and ham tart. It is such a simple dish and sooooo tasty, all you need is some ready to roll puff pastry, mature cheddar, parma ham and goats cheese.

Delicious served alfresco with salad and a glass of Rose wine, mmmmmm.
After lunch it was time to tidy up the garden before I visit the garden centre tomorrow, I'm not a natural gardener and I definitely don't have green fingers so it's very low maintenance. My Mom and sister have beautiful gardens and know what all the different plants are and how to look after them.
I had bought some bulbs to go in my pots but wasn't sure how deep to plant them or how many to put in one pot, told you I was hopeless, so I rang my Mom to ask her. Next thing I knew Mom and Dad had arrived with some plants from their garden, I don't know the names of most of them apart from Sweet Peas (my favourites), hostas and a clematis but it's filled some of the pots.
I showed Mom all the weeds I had to pull out and she just shook her head in despair, they were plants not weeds but in my defence I didn't plant them and didn't know the wind, rain and birds can spread the seeds, haha.
I'm never going to have green fingers but the garden is tidy and tomorrow I will get some more herbs, tomato plants, lavender and whatever my Mom suggests, I need all the help I can get but I do love my garden, it is very peaceful and a lovely little sun trap through the summer.
Thanks for looking, I'll be back soon.
